WATERLOO (KWWL) -

The Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office says they have arrested a Mt. Auburn man for making threats to the child support recovery office in downtown Waterloo.

The office closed Thursday afternoon after the Child Support Recovery Office in downtown Waterloo received a letter in which someone threatened to shoot staff members because his drivers license was being suspended for not paying child support.

Managers decided to keep the office closed on Friday for the safety of the employees.

Black Hawk County deputies learned that the subject lived in Mt. Auburn and asked for the Benton County Sheriff's Office's help in locating the subject.

On Friday, Black Hawk County deputies learned that the subject then posted the same threats on YouTube and Facebook.

Deputies then applied for an arrest warrant charging the subject with first degree harassment and a search warrant to check his home for weapons and computer equipment.

Deputies went to Mt. Auburn and arrested Kevin Jesse Harp, 49, of Mt. Auburn.  He is currently being held in the Black Hawk County Jail on a $50,000.00 bond.
