Dubuque organization needs recyclable materials for education

St. Mark Community Center in Dubuque is reaching out to the community for recyclable and other materials for its summer programming for kids.

Troy Rabbett is St. Mark's marketing and development director and said in a media release the center is looking for:

- Empty tin cans

- Empty pudding cups

- Juice boxes or milk cartons with straws

- Cardboard tubes from paper towels or wrapping paper

- Packing peanuts

Staff members ask that all materials be cleaned and dried.

The summer program, whose theme this year is Dream Big, is four weeks long and aims at engaging kids and promoting fun and learning.

People interested in donating or seeking more information can contact Rabbett at 563.582.6211 ext. 201 or drop materials off at the center at 1201 Locust Street in Dubuque.
