The UNI women earned their spot in the Women's Basketball Invitational tournament championship game with a 68-64 win over the Seattle University Redhawks.
Katelin Oney led UNI with 22 points while Rachel Madrigal added 16 to help the seventh seeded Panthers take down the number one seed in the semifinal game in Seattle.
UNI shot just 35.7 percent from the field in the first half, but heated it up in the second shooting 54.2 percent.
The Panthers upended second seeded Stephen F. Austin in the first round and then beat third seeded Sam Houston State to make it to the semifinal game.
They will play the winner of the Minnesota/Manhattan game which will be played on Friday night in Minneapolis. The date, time and location of the championship game will be decided after Friday night's game.
