Cyclones' White leaving for the NBA


After one spectacular season in which he led the Iowa State to its first NCAA Tournament berth in seven years, Cyclone sophomore forward Royce White is taking is talents to the NBA. White has signed with an agent --effectively ending his college eligibility. 

Royce White led the Cyclones in nearly every statistical category; averaging 13.4 points, 9.3 rebounds, five assists and one steal and one block a game.

White says he consulted with Iowa State head coach Fred Hoiberg on his decision to turn pro. With his 6 feet 8 inch 270 pound size and unique skill set.. Royce White has a lot to offer--and he proved in the NCAA tournament that he could compete well against big time competition. White went up against projected NBA Lottery picks Andre Drummond of UCONN and Anthony Davis of Kentucky.
