New UNI student government elected


University of Northern Iowa students have elected new members to lead the Northern Iowa Student Government for the 2012-2013 school year.

Jordan Bancroft-Smithe, a senior music and philosophy major from Waverly, has been elected UNI Student Body President. UNI students voted KaLeigh White, a sophomore sociology and public administration major from Ottumwa, as UNI student Body Vice-President.

Northern Iowa Student Government (NISG) represents UNI students and promotes activities in the best interests of UNI students.

The recent election also included representatives to the UNI Student Senate.

The new UNI government representatives officially take office on Saturday, April 15.
