11 people arrested on drug charges in Johnson and Cedar Counties

A joint enforcement between several law enforcement agencies led to the arrest of 11 people on drug charges in Johnson and Cedar Counties on Wednesday.

In West Branch, seven people were arrested at four homes. 

Joe Mike Lucassen, 52, and Pamela Anette Lucassen, 48, were arrested after a search at 207 Green Street.  Each was charged with one count of possession of a precursor - pseudoephederine and one count of intent to manufacture meth.

Jessica Lynn Sims, 24, was arrested after a search at 127 Northridge Drive.  She is charged with one count of possession of a precursor - pseudoephederine and one count of intent to manufacture meth.

Justin William Connell, 30, Jeri Vovella Connell, 24, and Eric Douglas Kiddoo, 26, were all arrested after a search at 118 West Orange Street.  Justin Connell is charged with one count of possession of a precursor with the intent to manufacture meth.  Jeri Connell and Kiddoo are charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts each of child endangerment.

Jeffery Keith Strong, 29, of West Branch, was arrested at a separate home and is charged with one count of possession of a precursor - pseudoephederine and one count of intent to manufacture meth.

A search warrant executed at 718 Dixon Avenue in Mechanicsville led to the arrest of Bryan Achenbach, 43, and Andrew William McGhghy, 45.  Achenbach is charged with manufacturing meth and three counts of possession of a precursor - pseudoephederine and one count of intent to manufacture meth.  McGhghy is charged with possession of a precursor - pseudoephederine and one count of intent to manufacture meth.

All nine were taken to the Cedar County Jail.

Two people were also arrested after a search warrant was executed at 1482 Wapsi Avenue NE in Solon.  William Daniel Bartlett, 26, was charged with possession of a precursor - pseudoephederine and one count of intent to manufacture meth.  Jamie Lucassen, 26, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of interference with official acts.  She also had six outstanding warrants from Cedar County.

They were both taken to the Johnson County Jail.  Lucassen will be taken to Cedar County when she is released from Johnson County.

The Cedar County Sheriff's Office, Tipton Police Department, West Branch Police Department, Johnson County Sheriff's Office, Johnson County Drug Task Force, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa State Patrol Tactical Unit and the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement were all involved in the investigation.
