The Northern Iowa Panthers live to play another day. The visiting Panthers came alive in the second half to beat Saint Joseph's Wednesday night, 67-65, and advance to the second round of the NIT game.

MVC Freshman of the Year, Seth Tuttle, led the Panthers with 23 points, including the two-game winning free throws with just over a second left to play in regulation. St. Joe's got the ball, following Tuttle's free throws, but did not get off a final shot.

Seth Tuttle also hit the glass hard, leading UNI with 11 rebounds, as the Panthers offense came alive in the second half top beat The second-seeded Hawks on their home floor in Philly. Marc Sonnen added 15 for UNI.

The Panthers scored 45 second half points, after trailing The Hawks at halftime, 24-22.

The victory sends UNI into the second round of the NIT to face Drexel. That game will also be in Philadelphia on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Iowa time. Drexel beat Central Florida, 81-56, to advance.

The game against Drexel can be seen on ESPN.
