According to online records, Schneider entered a written plea of not guilty on Thursday, March 15th.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, Schneider, who was 17-years old at the time of the accident, lost control of her car on 290th Street on November 8 and hit 56-year-old Scott Ray Henry of Fredericksburg, who was walking his dog on the side of the road.  Chickasaw County deputies say that Schneider, who did not have a driver's license, left the scene after the body was discovered by Henry's wife.
