Ron Knapp family benefit Friday night at Cattle Congress

Posted:

Friends of Ron Knapp are organizing a special fundraising benefit for the Knapp family this Friday night, March 16, at the National Cattle Congress Pavilion in Waterloo. Ron Knapp died February 27, due to serious complications from a heart attack. He was 54.

The evening will begin at 5 PM Friday and include a meal. In addition, there will be ‘Live' and ‘Silent' auctions. Three popular local bands will perform throughout the night, including, Urban Legend, Never the Less and WAGG.

Larry Gaffey, General Manager of the National Cattle Congress, is one of the organizers, and will host the Ron Knapp Family Benefit Event at his NCC pavilion. Gaffey says, The Pavilion holds around one thousand people, which I guess is half of the number that attended Ron's funeral. So, we want to make sure that friends of Ron have a chance to get advance tickets." All proceeds will go to the Ron Knapp family.

Tickets are just $10.00 for the entire evening. The event will begin at 5 PM and last at least until midnight. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the National Cattle Congress office, at 257 Ansborough Avenue, in Waterloo. In addition, tickets are available right now online at: www.RedTruckTickets.com. For more information about the Ron Knapp Family Benefit Event, call 319-234-7515.
