Family pets shot in Chickasaw County

The Chickasaw County Sheriff's office is investigating reports of someone shooting pets.

At the end of February, someone reported their family dog had been shot.  It happened in the 1700 Block of 240th Street in the Twin Ponds area of Chickasaw County.

A second and similar report was also taken from the 2400 Block of Gilmore Avenue within Chickasaw County. It appears the pets had been shot with a firearm.

The two shootings occurred within approximately one mile of each other. A person at the dispatch office says one of the animals survived the attack, but was not sure about the other animal.

The Sheriff is looking for anyone with information; including anyone seeing suspicious activities, persons or vehicles in this particular area of Twin Ponds.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff at 641-394-3121.
