Oxford Junction man connected to Massachusetts child porn case

A Massachusetts woman will serve more than two years for a child porn case with Iowa ties.

Officials say the woman had her 10-year-old daughter posed nude in front of a web cam for Joshua Dunfee of Oxford Junction. The 41-year-old mother's identity has not been released to protect the identity of the child.

The mother told investigators that she had sent pictures of herself to several modeling agencies, including one called "Hunt Photography" in Florida. She was contacted by Dunfee, posing as "John," about her pictures. The two talked via Facebook's instant messaging service and by Skype. "John" said he had a swimsuit contract for a mother-daughter pair, and said he needed to see the woman and the girl together to decide if they would win the contract.

Court records show the woman had the girl's father pull her out of school to appear on the webcam for "John". The woman says "John" convinced her that he needed to see both her and her daughter nude to judge if they would be chosen as models.

Officials say the mother gave investigators permission to pose as the woman to chat with "John" via MSN Messenger. That chat lead investigators to an IP address associated with a phone number belonging to Dunfee. According to court records, Dunfee admitted to investigators that he had a Facebook page called Hunt Photography and he had posed as an employee of that agency online. Officials say he admitted to viewing the nude Skype session, though he said he didn't know the age of the child.

Dunfee faces federal charges of sexual exploitation of a child. Dunfee has pleaded not guilty.
