Six arrested after Waterloo and Cedar Falls investigate stolen guns

Six people, including a 15-year old and a 16-year old, were arrested Tuesday after a joint investigation between Waterloo and Cedar Falls into stolen guns.

On February 20, the Waterloo Police Violent Crime Apprehension Team (VCAT) received information about some guns that were reported stolen from a residence in Cedar Falls.

After initiating a joint investigation with Cedar Falls police, six people were arrested on Tuesday. 

Taylor James Kruckenberg, 19, of Waterloo, is charged with possession of a weapon as a felon, trafficking stolen weapons and carrying weapons.

Zachariah Richard Smith, 28, of Denver, is charged with trafficking stolen weapons, interference, carrying weapons and eluding police.

Joshua Merle Heath, 32, of Waterloo, is charged with trafficking stolen weapons, child endangerment, sale of marijuana and drug tax stamp violation.

Latosha Danyal Heath, 29, of Waterloo, is charged with sale of marijuana and child endangerment.

A 16-year old from Waterloo is charged with trafficking stolen weapons, possession of a weapon as a felon and theft in the second degree.

A 15-year old from Cedar Falls is charged with third degree theft and trafficking stolen weapons.

In all, officers seized eight guns, including four that were reported stolen, drugs, cash and ammunition.
