Iowa hires Davis as Offensive Coordinator

The final piece of the puzzle is in place.  Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz has hired former Texas assistant Greg Davis to take over the reigns of the Hawkeye offense.  He replaces Ken O'Keefe who left Iowa to take a position with the Miami Dolphins.

Davis' most recent experience came as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the Longhorns.  He spent 13 seasons in Austin ending in 2010 and was named the recipient of the Frank Broyles award in 2005 as the nation's top assistant.

Davis has spent 33 years among the division I ranks beginning his career as a quarterback's coach at Texas A&M in 1978.
