A report of a suicidal man in Iowa City's City Park had police surrounding the park on Wednesday morning.

Police say they received a tip from Washington County authorities that a suicidal man was in City Park with a weapon.

Police responded to the park at around 10:15 a.m. and a Hawk Alert was issued warning people to stay inside.

After searching the park, police say no one was found in the park.

According to the university, the man was located by Washington County officials and there is no danger in the area.
