2A Boys District Basketball: Hudson upsets Denver 60-56

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

Hudson jumped to a 12 point halftime lead and held off a furious rally to upset 3rd ranked Denver 60-56 in a 2A District Final in Cedar Falls.

Sophomore Antwain Strong led the Pirates with 20 points as they handed Denver just its second loss of the season.

The Cyclones which beat Hudson twice during the regular season was led by Marcus McMahon's 22 points. 

Hudson advances to play MFL Mar Mac on Saturday night at the McLeod Center for the right to go to state.
