IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

City officials voted to continue with two big projects Tuesday night, adding traffic cameras and changing to a new zoning proposal.

City council members in Iowa City voted 4-3 in favor to consider traffic cameras.

City Councilman Terry Dickens said the city will now proceed to look at contracts, but the council will still need to approve the decision once contractors apply. He said there is still time for public input.

The Iowa City council also voted 4-3 in favor of proposed zoning changes dealing with neighborhoods around the University of Iowa campus.
