WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Monday night, Waterloo West (11-10) overcame a strong effort from Waterloo East (5-17).

The Wahawks beat the Trojans 68-58 to advance to the 4A Substate semifinals on Friday night against Cedar Falls.

West was led by Carderrius Smith with 20 points while Daquan Moore scored 18 as the Wahawks rallied from a 10 point third quarter deficit.

East High was led by senior Corshundis Love, who scored 22.
