Cedar Falls considers raising property tax

Posted: Updated:
CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

The Cedar Falls City Council met Monday night to look over the town's budget and  they said they are considering raising the property tax rate.

Cedar Falls Mayor Jon Crews said the city plans on maintaining current service levels, but with more monetary demands from the state, the city needs more revenue.

The proposed hike is less than two percent.

That proposal will be the subject of next Monday's city council meeting.
