Apple settles iPhone lawsuit

Users of Apple's iPhone 4 will be reimbursed for reception troubles. The company has settled a class-action lawsuit filed about the issue, promising to pay $15 or give a free bumper case to everyone in the United States who owns the phone.

When the smartphone came out in 2010, it was a huge seller, But some owners began complaining of frequently dropped calls, especially when the phone was held a certain way. Apple determined the antenna was the problem. At the time, users were offered a free bumper case to fix the problem.

The company plans to send emails to eligible customers in April, and in a few weeks a new website, will be active to serve iPhone users. More than 21 million iPhone 4 owners are eligible for the payout.
