Garber man arrested for threatening deputy

A Garber man has been arrested for leaving a threatening message on a deputy's voicemail, according to the Clayton County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say 44-year-old Dirk Fishback left a message on a deputy's voicemail on February 13 saying he was going to cause bodily harm to the deputy and that the deputy should take it as a threat.  Deputies say Fishback made other derogatory statements that were all recorded on the voicemail.

An arrest warrant was signed on Feb. 15, charging Fishback with assaulting a peace officer.  Fishback was arrested later that evening at his home.

Fishback was taken to the Clayton County Jail before posting bond.
