IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Matt Gatens couldn't miss.  The Hawkeye senior drained 7 3-pointers and scored 30 as Iowa upset 20th ranked Indiana 78-66.

The Hawkeyes led the Hoosiers by as much as 19 in the second half, before a 9-0 run would pull Indiana within 10 at 52-42.  Shortly after, Gatens hit 4 straight 3 point buckets in just over a 3 minute span to put the game away.

The win moves Iowa about the .500 mark at 14-13 overall and 6-8 in Big Ten play.  The Hawks also snapped the Hoosiers 3 game winning streak.
