NAMES RELEASED: Two injured in Cedar Falls stabbing


Two LeMars men are recovering after being stabbed outside a Cedar Falls apartment complex Sunday morning.  

According to police, it happened around 1 a.m. Sunday at the Hillcrest Park apartments on 9614 University Avenue.  

Police say when they arrived they found two men with stab wounds.

One of the victims,19-year-old Brady Allen Lancaster, was stabbed in the leg numerous times. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment before being transferred to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  The second victim, 16-year-old Tanner David Cook, was treated at a local hospital for a stab wound to the leg.

Lancaster and Cook are both from LeMars.

Police have identified a third person involved, but have not released that person's name.

Police say their investigation continues, and no arrests have been made at this time.
