1A State Wrestling; Black becomes first girl to win on the mat

In the class 1A first round, Eddyville Blakesburg's Megan Black became the first girl to win a non-forfeited match. Black defeated Don Bosco's Jacob Schmit in a 10 to 1 major decision.

As for the team race, the Dons would score big. Austin Demuth got a tech fall victroy over Austin Miller of Pocahontas at 132. The Dons still have 6 wrestlers in the top bracket.

1A State Duals champ Nashua-Plainfield had a strong showing as well, Christian Miller picks up the pin at 152. The Huskies currently have 4 left in the championship bracket.
