Independence attorney Ben Lange has announced that he will take another shot at unseating Congressman Bruce Braley.

Lange, 32, who was defeated by Braley in November 2010, made the announcement on Monday night at the African American Museum of Iowa in Cedar Rapids.

Lange reported in January that he had raised $120,000, but now says he's raised $1.1 million over the past year and has $625,000 on hand.

Lange will challenge Rod Blum, 56, of Dubuque, for the Republican nomination in the district.  Steve Rathje, a Cedar Rapids businessman withdrew from the race in December.
