UPDATE: Shots fired outside Iowa City night club

Iowa City police are looking for a suspect involved in a shooting at a night club.

Police say they were investigating noise complaints at the Caliente Night Club at 171 Highway 1 West around 1:15 a.m. Saturday when three gunshots were fired.

Authorities say witnesses reported seeing a black male leaning out of the window of a sport utility vehicle firing a handgun toward the bar.

The vehicle sped off and officers found evidence of shots fired, said the report.

Around 1:45 a.m. Saturday, police say they pulled over a silver Lincoln Navigator similar in description of the vehicle at the scene.  Police say they recovered three handguns and charged five people.  At least one handgun was reported stolen from Washington, said police.

Police say 22-year-old Dominique Clegg, 21-year-old Elijah Pickens, 22-year-old Dewayne Lenior Jr., 21-year-old Giovani Timmons and 21-year-old Timothy Chew face multiple charges stemming from the traffic stop.

Police say they are still investigating to determine whether the shooting and traffic stop are related.
