Matt Gatens scored 18 as Iowa ran past Penn State 77-64.

The Hawkeyes shot out to a quick start and never looked back.  Just minutes into the game Iowa jumped out to a 16-2 edge.  They would lead by as many as 26 before the Nittany Lions trimmed down that edge late.

Bryce Cartwright and Aaron White each added 17 in the victory as Iowa picked up it's 5th Big Ten win of the season.  The Hawks sit just one game below .500 in conference play.
