ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KWWL) -

At least ten cities including Clinton are considering parades after St. Louis, Missouri held the nation's first ever welcome home parade for Iraq War troops.

The January 28th parade in St. Louis was watched by an estimated 100,000 people and had about 20,000 participants. It included other post-September 11 veterans.

Organizers say they've been approached by officials in Clinton, Chicago, Denver, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Seattle, Nashville, Tucson, and Greensboro, North Carolina.

Using social media, organizers Craig Schneider and Tom Appelbaum were able to raise the nearly $40,000 needed for the event in less than a month. Other cities are hoping to follow their lead.
