Galena woman injured in Wisconsin bar fight

HAZEL GREEN, Wis. (KWWL) -

The Grant County Sheriff's Office says a Galena, Illinois woman was injured in a bar fight in Hazel Green, Wisconsin on Thursday morning.

Deputies were called to the Wig Wam Bar in Hazel Green just before 2:00 a.m. after receiving a call from a woman who reported the fight and then hung up.

The investigation determined that Dennis Shelliam, 38, of Hazel Green, tried to strangle a 25-year old Galena woman and then struck her head against a jukebox.

Shelliam is charged with strangulation.
