UNI preparing for Dance Marathon too

The University of Iowa is known for its annual dance marathon, which raises money for children at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  The 24-hour marathon will be held Friday and Saturday, February 3-4, 2012.

Meanwhile, the University of Northern Iowa is gearing up for a dance marathon of its own.
This event will be shorter than the U of I version; held for half the time.
It begins February 25th, and runs from 12:00 p.m. to midnight.

400 UNI students are already signed up to take part.

The organizers of UNI's dance marathon have a fundraising goal set at $13,000, which is roughly $1 for each student who attends the college.  Like the U of I version, the money goes to the Children's Miracle Network to help children with illnesses all over eastern Iowa.
