"Barefoot Bandit" to be sentenced

The teen known as the "Barefoot Bandit" will be sentenced in a Seattle courtroom Friday.

Colton Harris-Moore is suspected in dozens of thefts and other crimes across the United States, including Iowa.

He plead guilty in December to 33 state charges related to residential burglaries, identity thefts and car thefts.

He got the name "Barefoot Bandit" because he would often flee the scene without shoes and once left outlines of footprints on sidewalk of one of his burglaries.

He led police on a two year chase before being caught in January of 2010 in the Bahamas.

Prosecutors have recommended he receive a 78 month sentence in prison. He has asked for only 70 months.
