EVANSDALE (KWWL) -

An Evansdale girl will finally get to meet the New York City firefighter who helped save her life.

Alise Williams, now six, was just 16-months old when she was diagnosed with Fanconi anemia, a rare life-threatening blood disorder.  Her family was told that she needed a bone marrow transplant to survive.

In 2009, a matching donor was found, firefighter James Wildes, 37, of Engine 162 on Staten Island.

On Wednesday, Alise will get to meet Wildes during an induction ceremony in which Wildes and five other members of the FDNY will be added to the "Honor Roll of Life".

The ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. CST at the FDNY Headquarters in Brooklyn, New York.
