Police have filed additional charges in a series of home burglaries in Waterloo.

On Jan. 23, police arrested three people they say broke into a Waterloo home and stole liquor, a diamond ring and money from 1650 Williston Avenue.

Shortly after the burglary was reported, an officer stopped a white Ford Crown Victoria and received consent to search the vehicle.  During the search, the officer found some of the items taken in the burglary.

The three people in the car were taken to the Waterloo Police Department where officers say they admitted to taking the items from the Williston Avenue home.  Police say they also admitted to being involved in an attempted burglary at 815 Oregon Street.

Deandrew Deshawn Harris, 25, is charged with third degree burglary and third degree attempted burglary.

Eighteen-year-old Devonta Cortez Parker Johnson and 19-year-old Joscela Danielle Holloway of Waterloo are charged with third degree burglary. Johnson is also charged with third degree attempted burglary.

On Feb. 6, police filed additional charges against Johnson and Holloway in connection with several other burglaries.

Johnson is now charged with third degree burglary and possession of a firearm as a felon in connection with a burglary at 157 Cornwall Street. Holloway is charged with third degree burglary for the same burglary. Police say a .22 caliber rifle and 16 gauge shotgun were taken in the burglary but have been recovered.

Johnson and Holloway are charged with third degree burglary in connection with burglaries at 1002 Baltimore Street, 2517 Randolph Street, and 2541 Manor Street. Police say several items taken in those burglaries have been recovered.

Holloway is also charged with third degree burglary for a burglary at 1859 Hawthorne Avenue.
