Cedar Falls star Hill de-commits to Cyclones, commits to Hawks

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -

Just nine days before national signing day--and the state's best football player changes his mind.

Cedar Falls runningback Barkley Hill decommits from the Iowa State Cyclones--and verbally commits to play for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Hill confirmed his decision to me tonight via text.

Hill originally committed to play for the Cyclones last April--- and reconfirmed his commitment after he was offered a scholarship by the Hawkeyes this past summer.

Hill earned Parade All-American and Gatorade player of the year in the state of Iowa after rushing for nearly 25-hundred yards and 40 touchdowns for a Tiger team that made it all the way to the semifinal round of the 4A state playoffs.

Hill made a visit to Iowa this past weekend---and decided to de-commit to the Cyclones and join the Hawkeyes. Iowa of course is in serious need of tailbacks--after having lost two within the past month.
