Luther College Health Services confirms there has been an outbreak of Norovirus on campus.
Authorities are not sure where it came from, but students returned to campus for the semester on Jan. 3. Health services did not know how many people on campus became sick.
State health inspectors were on campus doing an inspection on Monday.
There was a large outbreak of Norovirus across Iowa late last year. The Iowa Department of Public Health says the number of cases fell after the cases, but has increased again in the last few weeks.
Symptoms of Norovirus include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramps. It usually begins 24 to 48 hours after exposure and can last up to two days.
If a person thinks they have any of the symptoms, IDPH says don't prepare any food for others until symptoms are gone for at least 24 hours.
