Hawkeye wrestlers fall at #3 Penn State


Iowa dropped the final 7 matches Sunday afternoon catapulting them to a 22-12 loss at #3 Penn State.  It was Iowa's second straight Big Ten loss.

The Hawks started the meet strong picking up victories in their first three matches.  Tony Ramos highlighted the night picking up a second period pin over Frank Martellotti at 133.

The tide would turn at 149.  Penn State's Frank Molinaro picked up an 11-5 decision over Michael Kelly.  That began the Nittany Lions run of seven straight.

The victory was Penn State's first over Iowa since 2007.
