Warriors drop Oak Leafs 3-1 to remain perfect

Austin Jackson tallied a pair of goals as the Waterloo Warriors thrilled more than 2,000 in attendance with a 3-1 victory over the visiting Des Moines Oak Leafs.  The victory moves the Warriors to a perfect 22-0-0 record on the season.

Jackson lit the lamp in the first period scoring off a rebound for a 1-0 Waterloo edge.  Des Moines countered in the second as Tanner McDougal would knot things at one apiece setting up a thrilling third period.

Midway through the third, Jackson would beat the goaltender going top shelf for his second tally of the night.  Jake Lichty finished the scoring.  With Des Moines on a power play, Lichty picked off a pass to start a breakaway, finishing with a stick side goal and a 3-1 lead.

Des Moines will get one last shot at Waterloo with an 8:00 AM puck drop on Sunday.
