PEORIA, Ill. (KWWL) -
The Bradley Braves outscored UNI 50-23 over the final 16 minutes to surge past the Panthers and pick up a 78-67 upset victory.
The Panthers had previously won 7 of the last 8 in the series. That trend looked like it would continue as UNI hit 8 three pointers in the first half, and would lead by as much as 16 early in the second.
The Panthers, however, couldn't contain the Braves Dyricas Simms-Edwards. Simms-Edwards hit 6-9 three point attempts, scoring 26 in the game. Bradley snapped a 9 game losing streak and picked up their first Missouri Valley win on the season.
UNI was led by Johnny Moran and Chip Rank as both tallied 15 points in the loss.
