MASON CITY (KWWL) -

Mason City police have been looking for a missing newborn baby.
Police say an umbilical cord and placenta were found in a restroom at the Iowa Workforce Development office on Saturday. Officers have found and talked to a 19-year-old Charles City woman who they believe is the mother, but she has not been cooperating.
The baby is believed to be premature and weigh about 3 pounds.
Police have been searching around the office and are asking anyone with information about such a child to call.
