Two arrested after making meth in Cedar Rapids

Two people are in jail after trying to make methamphetamine in Cedar Rapids.

It happened Thursday around 6:45 p.m.  Police were called to a house on 1019 Sioux Drive Northwest after reports of two people arguing outside the house.

Police say when they entered the house they smelled chemicals used to make meth.

Police arrested and charged 39-year old James Martin and 37-year-old Tery Black for manufacturing meth.

They're both in the Linn County Jail.
