Man pulled from burning Readlyn apartment building

The Police Chief is behind one man's rescue from a burning Readlyn apartment building Thursday morning. The fire started around  4:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Wilmont Street.

Steve Aiello lives near the four-plex by and was the first to the fire. Aiello said the hall was blocked by flames, and he went to a window and yelled inside. When a man answered, he broke out the window screen and pulled the man to safety.

"I didn't do anything emergency management or volunteer fire wouldn't a done, I was just the first one here," said Steve Aiello, Readlyn Police Chief.

One other person was taken to the hospital with injuries. All four apartments have either smoke or fire damage.
