Funeral scheduled for Iowa County crash victim

The Iowa County Sheriff's Office says a 22-year old rural South Amana woman died on Monday when she lost control of her SUV on a slippery road.

Sheriff Robert Rotter says Monica Lindsey, 22, died after her SUV rolled on Highway 6, west of Marengo, at around 6:46 a.m. Monday.  Witnesses told deputies that Lindsey was headed east when she tried to pass another vehicle and lost control on a frosty patch of road.  They say the vehicle rolled several times and Lindsey was ejected.

She died at the hospital.

Temperatures dipped below freezing Monday morning and created hazardous driving conditions as light mist and fog froze on area roads.
