FAIRBANK (KWWL) -
A Fairbank woman says her home was shot with a deer slug on Saturday.
Patricia Sue Cunningham reported to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office that her home, six miles north of Fairbank on 60th Street, was shot by a 12-gauge shotgun slug around 9:00 a.m.
Cunningham says she was outside when she heard a gunshot. She looked across to the north and saw several deer running in the field.
Later in the day, she saw a hole in her living room and found the deer slug on the floor.
The Fayette County Sheriff's Office is investigating this as a hunting accident.
They say approximately $500 in damage was done to the home.
