IOWA CITY (KWWL) -

Three people were arrested early Sunday morning after police say they beat a woman and pushed her through a glass door.

Officers were called to 1506 Tofting Avenue at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning for an unknown problem.  They were told people at the home had guns.

When they arrived, they say they heard yelling from the street and saw blood smeared along the walls and floor.

The female victim told police that she had been at the house for an "after hours" party and was knocked to the floor by Michelle Lyn Brenneman, 28.  She says Robert Dwayne Gathright, 35, then came and held her down while Brenneman and Brittney Armstrong, 22, punched and hit her in the face and chest with shoes.  She also told officers that she was pushed through a glass door as she attempted to get away.

Brenneman, Armstrong and Gathright are all charged with assault causing bodily injury.  Brenneman is also charged with keeping a disorderly house.

Gathright is also charged with interference with official acts because officers say they had to move him out of the way of a closed door they were checking.  They also say he was yelling and arguing with officers while they tried to secure the scene.
