A man is in serious condition after a fight at Pancheros in Iowa City early Saturday morning.

Officers were called to the restaurant at 32 South Clinton Street at around 1:20 a.m. Saturday to assist with a medical call.

When they arrived, officers learned that a man was seriously injured in a fight with three others that happened inside and outside the restaurant.

Police say the man stopped breathing in the ambulance on the way to the hospital and had to be resuscitated.  They say he continued having problems breathing while at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Police say Tyler Jay Powers, 19, of Davenport, was caught on surveillance video punching the victim at least once in the face, causing him to fall to the floor.

They say Powers then left the restaurant and went back to Davenport.  Investigators tracked him down there and arrested him.

They also arrested Michael John Henkel, Jr., 18, and Francisco Rene Vasquez, 22, both of Davenport.  Police say they found them walking near the Sheraton Hotel in Iowa City.  Police say they both had blood on them and injuries consistent with being in a fight.

Powers, Henkel and Vasquez are all charged with willful injury causing serious injury.  Vasquez and Henkel are also charged with public intoxication.

The victim remains in critical condition.
