Guns recovered after road rage incident near Dubuque

A number of guns were recovered after a road rage incident near the Wisconsin/Dubuque bridge Wednesday.

According to the Grant County Sheriff's Office, Laurie Cutts and her daughter were northbound on Highway 151 near the bridge when 30-year-old Peter Wilson of Freeport, Illinois, became upset with the way Cutts was varying her speed.

Deputies say Wilson pulled up next to the Cutts vehicle in the right lane, pointed an Air Soft hand gun and fired two shots which hit the passenger side window.

Cutts slowed down so that Wilson could pass and she called 911.

Deputies along with officers from the Platteville Police Department and University of Wisconsin-Platteville Campus Police stopped Wilson's vehicle on Highway 151 near Platteville.  They say they recovered the Air Soft gun and four rifles.

Cutts and her daughter were not injured.

Wilson is charged with second degree recklessly endangering safety.
