Crews worked throughout the day Wednesday, responding to a train derailment near East Dubuque, Ill. in Jo Daviess County.

The Menominee-Dunleith Fire Department was among the agencies that responded. Its fire chief Cal Cain said the derailment happened around 8 p.m. Tuesday.

19 of the train's cars with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway went off the track. They were carrying drywall, lumber and frozen meat.

No injuries were reported and, as of Wednesday night, there was no known cause.

Cain said several dozen firefighters responded Tuesday night, and the county's HazMat team was on site. Ultimately, the team was not needed.
