Grout Museum commemorates Pearl Harbor plus 70

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Waterloo's Grout Museum marked the 70th anniversary of The attack on Pearl Harbor Wednesday.

In a cozy corner of the Sullivan Brothers' exhibit visitors can find exhibits featuring two Iowa men who lost their lives that terrible Sunday in Hawaii.

More than 5,000 Iowans died in WW II when the state had fewer than a million residents. It is that fighting spirit that is celebrated at the museum on December 7th and every year.

A 1940's vintage radio plays the announcement of the attack as it was heard over NBC Radio.
