Iowa City bank offering reward in search for robber

A bank in Iowa City that was robbed on Friday is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

Officers were called to the U.S. Bank at 2312 Mormon Trek Boulevard at around 5:21 p.m. for an armed robbery.  Police say the suspect ran on foot with an undisclosed amount of money before they got there.

The robber is described as 5'9", 190 pounds.  He was wearing a black mask and carrying a silver handgun.

No one was injured in the robbery.
