UPDATE: Iowa Hawkeyes fall to Nebraska in rare match up

Despite their shared border, it had been a long time since the last match up between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.  But Friday's game in Lincoln left little doubt which was the better football team.

Despite an evenly-played first half, #22 Nebraska stormed to a 20-7 win over Iowa on national TV Friday.

Rex Burkhead ran for 160 yards and a touchdown on a school-record 38 carries for the Cornhuskers, despite being injured last week.

Burkhead  had eight carries for 39 yards on a 10-play drive that ended with a 2-yard run, giving Nebraska a 20-0 lead early in the fourth quarter.

The Hawkeyes avoided the shut out when Marcus Coker scored on a 2-yard run with 3:26 left on the clock.

Nebraska improved to 9-3 and hopes to land a berth in the Capital One Bowl.
