Council bluffs school sees many sick students

A Council Bluffs school official says an elementary school is possibly affected by norovirus, which has caused dozens of students to get sick.

District spokeswoman Diane Ostrowski says 50 children at College View Elementary called in sick or went home Thursday.

On Friday, about 70 students went home sick.

The school has about 400 students.

Ostrowski says health officials think it may be norovirus, but tests by the state's health department were not conclusive.

The school is being sanitized.

None of the district's 16 other schools have had a similar problem.
